Gala Technology, the innovative Yorkshire-based company behind the secure and PCI DSS compliant 'Cardholder Not Present' (CNP) payment solution, SOTpay are celebrating more industry recognition after ranking strongly in the Businesscloud ‘100 Fintech Disruptors’ 2020 poll.
BusinessCloud, who publish a quarterly magazine to shine a light on UK tech innovation in all sectors and geographical regions, shortlisted 250 tech companies in the financial, compliance and insurance sectors, before a combination of 5,000 reader votes and an independent judging panel, including Kristy Duncan, founder & CEO, Women in Payments, whittled down to the top 100, where Gala Technology finished at an impressive 28, ahead of the likes of Monzo (30), GoCardless (61) and SumUp (100).
Starling Bank was crowned the UK’s most innovative FinTech beating ‘all-your-cards-in-one’ banking app Curve and Currensea, a debit card for overseas payments into second and third place respectively.
Gala Technology’s CEO Jason Mace commented ‘We are extremely proud to be ranked within the Top 30 ‘FinTech Disruptors 2020’ by the judging panel, BusinessCloud readers and our clients as we continue to support merchants of all shapes and sizes with our multi-award-winning secure ‘Cardholder Not Present’ transaction solution, SOTpay.
SOTpay, enables cardholders to complete secure remote transactions, on their personal device without divulging card data to a third party. Payments are authenticated, providing liability shift for the merchant, consequently eliminating the risk of fraud-related chargebacks and are processed in a PCI DSS compliant environment, in a manageable and cost-effective way.
We are committed to continuous development and to keep innovating the product to meet the ongoing needs of our partners and clients.’
Mace seems to be true to his word too, as only last week Gala Technology announced an exciting relationship with Nuapay, powered by Sentenial, to provide their merchants with Open Banking capabilities, via any sales channel of choice, including telephone, web chat, SMS and social media.
